shout-out to sesa

We finally made a trip to Barnes & Noble to redeem the lovely gift card Sesa, Megan, Kevin & Pete sent Luke for his birthday. We had a blast picking out new books. Luke was very discerning. At first, he would carefully select a book on display, especially if it had a favorite topic (moo-moo cow, dinosaur, etc.), and he would then read it, and decide "yes" or "no" about taking it home. In the end, he selected 4 new books, all about (what else?) trains!

making friends

Luke and I were at the bookstore yesterday, and while I was searching for a book for myself, Luke and a 4-year-old made friends. This young man declared that he was going to read a book to Luke and teach him about Spiderman. I heard snippets like, "This is Spiderman! He wears a red suit. See?!" Luke was very curious, not so much about Spiderman (because, after all, trains rule), but about the fellow little guy. Luke's two book picks, by the way, were Freight Train and Inside Freight Train. That's my boy!
